Thank you very much for using our GoPlaces App!
For questions or support regarding our features, please use the form to the right. Please make sure the App is updated to the latest version.
We'd love to hear from you!
Here are the most frequently asked questions by the users of our App
You can register by choosing the “Sign Up” option. You are able to create an account using your email address or social media accounts. You will be required to set up a password and accept the legal conditions. Please remember that if you register using your social media accounts, you will need to use them to log in later on as well.
Once you create a profile, you are encouraged to fill it with your personal details: CV, skills, relevant experience, education, languages spoken, desired destination, and contact information. This will increase your chances of getting hired by the companies listing their jobs in our app.
When registering through the app, you can add as many languages as you want, but only 2 can be marked as mother tongues.
Europe Language Jobs does not charge candidates for registration or applying to job offers - neither through the app, nor through the website.
There are no in-app purchases in the Europe Language Jobs #GoPlaces mobile app. At no point will the user be asked to provide their bank card details or pay for any features.
There is no premium account in the Europe Language Jobs #GoPlaces mobile app. All candidates are given equal chances and their success in applying will be based only on the qualifications they upload to their personal profiles. There is no option to pay for a premium account in order to gain access to any extra features, as all the features of the app are free for everyone.
It is not necessary to provide this kind of information. Your candidate’s profile may remain unfilled if you don’t feel comfortable sharing specific details. However, just like with any other job search app, filling in your profile will increase your chances of getting employed, as recruiters find complete profiles more attractive.
We are a meeting point for candidates and employers - companies are required to provide the essential details about the positions they list in our app, and in return, they ask applicants to do the same so they can learn more about them and decide whether they would be a good match.
Additionally, the more information you provide in your candidate’s account, the more accurate the job recommendations you will receive can be. Both the jobs fitted to your profile you will see in the “Discover” section and those included in push notifications will be based on your details and preferences. Leaving a profile empty might result in receiving recommendations with locations, sectors, and languages that do not interest you. The only way we can do our best to help you is if you help us first :)

You can either upload your CV from Google Drive, or directly from your computer. If the option with Google Drive doesn’t seem to work, please try to upload the file from your device’s storage.
If you are sure that your CV is in the correct format and neither upload option works, please contact us at: [email protected]

Once there, select the “Applications” section. There, you will see all the offers you have ever applied to. Their status will be marked in orange next to the “Your application status” headline. You will receive notifications informing you about any changes in your applications.
The possible statuses of applications are as follows:
Incoming - the hiring company has received your application but it hasn’t been evaluated by the recruiters yet
In process - the hiring company is in the process of evaluating your application
Discarded - your application was unsuccessful
Finalist - your application was chosen among other candidates’. At this point, you will be contacted directly by the hiring company (via phone or email) to discuss the next steps in the recruitment process.
Log in to your account and go to your profile.
Once in your profile, click on the three lines menu in the top right corner and choose the “Delete account” option.
Note that this action is irreversible and will result in the complete deletion of your account.
In order to apply for a job offer, you must first register in the app. To register, choose the “Sign Up” option and register by filling in all the required fields. Remember: The more details you provide, the more attractive your profile will be to employees.
Once registered, tap on the icon of the briefcase on the menu stripe at the bottom (first icon from the left). You will see a scrollable list of jobs, and in order to apply, you need to tap the orange “Apply” button.
You can also choose the cards icon on the menu stripe at the bottom (middle icon) to access the “Discover” section. The jobs you see there will appear going from the most to least relevant for you (according to the information provided in your profile). In order to apply, tap on the orange “Apply” button at the bottom.
It is also possible to search for specific positions/companies/languages/locations manually. You need to tap on the magnifying glass icon (second icon to the left) and either insert a keyword that interests you, or tap on one of the keywords recommended for you. In order to apply, tap on the orange “Apply” button below each job description.
Our system is designed in a way that only allows applicants who fulfill the basic requirements stated in the description apply for the offer. This is done in order to prevent companies from receiving irrelevant applications that would slow down the recruitment process.
If you can’t apply for a certain position, please double-check if you fulfill all the requirements stated in the job description: you must speak the required languages at exactly the level described in the offer (eg. you can’t apply for a position that requires German as a Mother Tongue if in your profile you have marked your knowledge of German as Basic). If an offer states 2 languages as mandatory, you need to be able to speak both of them at the required level (only one of them is not enough). Make sure that you have listed all the languages you speak (including your native language) in your profile and that you have described your level accurately.
Another reason for being unable to apply is that some companies only accept applications coming from their based countries. If they choose to apply a location filter when publishing the offer, the system will automatically filter out all applications coming from outside the hiring company's region.
If you are sure that neither of the cases mentioned above is the issue, please contact us at [email protected] describing the problem you are encountering.
No, you can only apply to job offers once you have uploaded a CV to your profile. It is possible to upload multiple CVs to your profile (in different languages or tailored to different positions) and choose which one you wish to apply with for every application.
No, once you have applied for a job, the employer will be notified. You may directly let them know that you are no longer interested in the offer if they reach out to you concerning the next steps.
Europe Language Jobs is not responsible for providing Visas or work permits for candidates who are not EU citizens.
Candidates need to arrange this prior to applying on the website.
You will know your application has been successful when you receive an email from Europe Language Jobs confirming the application. (If this fails to happen after 24 hours please email us at [email protected] and explain what happened)
If the application process proceeds, the hiring company for the position you have applied for will change the status of your application. (Europe Language Jobs does not get involved in this process).
However, if the status of your application on the Europe Language Jobs website has been changed by the company , you will receive an email informing you about the change.
Please note that especially big companies can receive too many applications for one position to be able to manually change the status of every application and send an email to each candidate. If you don’t receive a response for more than a month, it usually means that your application was discarded by the recruiters and the company wasn’t able to inform you about it directly.
‘In process’ - Your application has been taken into account and is currently being reviewed.
‘Finalist’ - The application has been chosen amongst other(s] candidates to pass to the next step of the application process. At this point the company may contact you for the next step of the process.
‘Discarded’ - The application has been reviewed and considered. However, the company has chosen not to process your application any further. This can be due to a lack of suitability with the requirements for the position.
Note that the time for each step can vary and might take from a few days to months, depending on the recruitment needs and process of the company. Europe Language Jobs does not intervene in any of these steps, other than notifying you of when your application has been updated by the hiring company to any of the above.
We mostly focus on the business sector, so the most popular positions listed on our job board are in Marketing, Sales, HR, Business Development, Management, Finance, Customer Service, and similar. We sometimes receive offers in other areas such as Design, Translation, Copywriting, IT, Tutoring, or in the Hospitality sector, but they are a bit harder to come by at Europe Language Jobs. If you are looking for positions in an area that we don’t normally list, please make sure to check our job board regularly, since we update it with new offers literally every day.
Please note: we never list jobs such as Driver, Physical Worker, Engineer, Cleaner, Carer, Electrician, Kitchen Staff/Assistant.
We’re constantly working on improving our app. If you encounter any problems or missing options, please let us know by emailing us at: [email protected] and we will fix any issues the app may have in order to provide you with the best user experience possible.
Our users’ safety is very important to us. We have a very strict screening process that we apply to every company cooperating with us. Before getting published, each offer is analysed and verified by the ELJ Team, so it is impossible for an unauthorised offer to appear on our job board. In case of doubts, you are always welcome to share your concerns with us at [email protected] and we will double-check the offer and ease your concerns.
Yes! When you click on a specific offer to enlarge it and see the full description, you will see the “share” button (next to the orange “Apply” button). It will allow you to send a specific vacancy to your friends via Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Gmail, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Snapchat.
