We are currently looking for a full-time position of a Medical Advisor-Nurse (French or Spanish Speaking).

 

Company overview:

Our company, Euro-Center (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is the Regional medical assistance office for various Norther & International European insurance companies. Our office is located in Bangkok, Thailand. We employ 50+ staff members, handling insurance and assistance claims with high professional standards in an international and vibrant office environment. Our office runs 24/7 and works in liaison with 9 other Euro-Centers around the world. The Euro-Center Holding SE, headquartered in Prague, belongs to the Munich Re Group with its subsidiaries, ERGO Travel and ERV, and is also partially owned by Europeiske Reiseforsikring in Norway (IF Group).

 

Main responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

Medical triage of cases:

  • Categorize of medical cases according to the priority
  • Case assigning to Medical Advisors, in accordance with expertise requirements, language skills or other considerations, such availability, time zone location, etc.

Medical evaluation of inpatient/outpatient cases hospitalisations up to 24 hours:

  • medical evaluation of treatment
  • evaluation of planned travel dates
  • evaluation of costs of treatment
  • special attention to children, senior and overseas cases

- Medical evaluation of longer hospitalisation:

  • Close co-operation with EC Doctors
  • Overview of active hospitalisation cases
  • Obtaining medical info via conference calls
  • Preliminary evaluation of Medical Reports
  • Consultations for Assistant Coordinators
  • Active check of hospital standards
  • Support in treatment costs evaluation
  • Support in treatment costs evaluation

- Medical social calls:

  • Medical contact with inpatient policy holders or authorized family members
  • Evaluation of medical care
  • To evaluate the necessity of a medical contact between Doctors and policy holders
  • Evaluation of medical contact between Doctors and treating doctors
  • Check Pre-Repatriation conditions

-  Medical overview of transports and repatriations

-  Medical following of active cases (MRs, MIs, TI)

-  Preliminary medical evaluation of sudden case development changes

-  Passing medical info to transport providers

-  Consultation of ACOs

-  Co-operation with other Medical Advisors across Euro-Center Offices

-  Medical translations

-  Providing medical explanation to patients and insurance companies

-  Medical evaluation of invoices

-  Assist other team members, if necessary, for phone calls, e-mails and case handling required specific language expertise.

-  Work in a close coordination with his/her senior colleagues (senior coordinator, team leaders)

-  Upon AC and EC management request, to conduct other functions related to the assistance centre activity

REQUIREMENTS

Education / knowledge and experience:

  • Nursing degree with experience in active medical care
  • At least 3 years of working experience in medical care, additional experience in insurance, HSE and medical assistance contexts a plus
  • International experience or working in international corporate environment a plus
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Excellent communication skills and cooperation across teams and offices
  • Results oriented, analytical
  • Be able to adhere to the policies and procedures of the Group Medical policies.

Language skills:

  • Native, bilingual or high advanced in French or Spanish
  • Native, bilingual or high advanced in English

Other skills:

  • Strong commitment and adherence to standards
  • High quality communication skills
