Daily challenges

  • Providing technical support to DXC corporate customers
  • Handling of tickets, which are automatically generated from notification systems or monitoring tools for a large variety of supported technologies
  • Basic troubleshooting of server OS, database, customer-specific applications, backup, storage and network 
  • Communication with technical teams and experts, supporting different technologies and broadening your technical know-how

 

eXperience and skills required

Our key requirements are:

  • Excellent German and English language skills
  • Ability to work on night and weekend shifts 
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting and technical skills
  • Ability to proactively learn new technologies, processes and search for solutions
  • Working knowledge of network security concepts and tools
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory concepts, including users, computers, groups, policies

 

These will be considered as a BIG Advantage:

  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Degree in computer science 
  • Experience using monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, Grafana, etc.) 
  • Understanding of one of the following technologies:
  • Linux/ Linux Server
  • Windows Server
  • Web applications (e.g. Apache, Tomcat)
  • SAP
  • Databases (e.g. MSSQL, Oracle)
