Job Description

As a Sitel Human Resources (HR) Manager, you will act as the site HR business partner and lead the Employee Relations team. Using your knowledge of applicable local employment laws and practices, you will develop appropriate exploration documentation and recommendations.

In addition, you will advise on a wide range of employee relations matters, including reorganizations, sickness, absence and performance management. You will interpret policies and procedures and develop skills on fair and equitable employment practices.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Advise the site leadership team on HR best practice and ensure HR Strategy is aligned with business goals
  • Develop a performance driven culture, encouraging individual ownership of results and associate development
  • Implementing appropriate actions to raise associate satisfaction levels – ensuring regular two way feedback is undertaken with associates
  • Ensure attendance and attrition is effectively managed and reviewed, with proactive and or remedial actions taken where necessary
  • Lead a team of 3 HR coordinators

Qualifications, Skills & Experience target:

  • Fluency in both Portuguese and English
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in Employee Relations in an HR Business Partner or Employee Relations Advisor role
  • Experience conducting and advising on grievances/disciplinaries under Portuguese specific procedures
  • Experience working with restructuring, performance management and sickness management processes
  • Experience in People Management
  • Excellent knowledge of current employment legislation
  • Ability to listen and convey opinions and recommendations both in writing and orally. Effective interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy.
  • Additional European language skills are also highly valued
