Our client is a European Company, leader in promotional products – operating under 4 main brands - with headquarter in the Netherlands. They serve both consumers and companies in the DACH, Benelux, Nordics, UK and South Europe Regions.

As from January 2018, they are opening their new European Marketing Office in Barcelona and are looking for the most talented and brightest Marketing Talents to build their team!

The EU Marketing office in Barcelona will be the starting point of all company’s European brand initiatives.

As Office Manager, or Talent Manager, you are the one who is responsible for Employee Happiness in every imaginable way. You have an important and central position within the European Marketing Office.

The Job

You are a listening ear for all employees, you advise the management team, and advise the HR & Recruitment Specialist (based in the Netherlands) how to recruit new talent in Spain. Alongside this, you take care of the administration and you are the one that will organize all of the awesome company events like the Christmas event and the yearly outing.

The Office manager will also ensure the smooth running of the office and help to improve company procedures and day-to-day operation.

Main responsibilities:

- You are super fast at arranging everything for the office: lunches, office supplies, new desks, computers, booking flights, finding someone who can fix a broken lock, nothing is too much for you to arrange.

- You will answer and screen all incoming calls and welcome guests into the office.

- Support the Site Lead with necessary paperwork following local rules and regulations, arranging internal and external meetings, booking flights etc.

- You know all the ins and outs of the HR administration in Spain and make sure we do everything we need to do according to the Spanish law.

- You analyze and modify the compensation and benefits policy.

- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires including labor contracts, ordering business cards, new employee gifts etc. You are also responsible for the relocation process (housing, opening bank accounts, health insurance etc.).

- You know how to listen to the team members and how to help them with the issues they might have. Alongside this, you advise the management in everything personnel related. In other words, you are the bridge that connects them both.


The Profile

- You are fluent in English and Spanish + good knowledge of Catalan is a plus

- You have proven experience in an Office management role, within an international organization - between 2 to 4 years

- You have in-depth knowledge of Spanish law and HR practices

- You are service and customer oriented, always trying to achieve the best

- You are someone with positive energy, who is decisive and knows how to act with care and integrity

- You have a pro-active attitude and excellent communication skills

- You take initiatives, take ownership over your tasks and make sure the work is done

- You know better than anyone how to deal with the different cultures and you ensure that everyone feels comfortable with your approach
