What is NAV Analyst in our department responsible for?

The Analyst performs the daily work in accordance with policies and procedures to ensure that the NAV (net asset value) of funds is calculated correctly.

The scope of work covers US, Luxembourg, International and Canadian mutual funds. S/he is also responsible for providing monthly and periodic Fund information within the required deadlines. The Analyst assists other NAV Analysis members with specified projects or tasks.

Working hours: 8.30 am – 5.00 pm or
12.00 pm - 8.30 pm and occasionally from 1.30 pm – 3.30 pm to respectively 10 pm -12 am.

Requirements

What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

Knowledge, education and experience:

  • A college diploma in accounting/business or equivalent experience is required for this position.
  • Graduate level accounting, finance or business courses would be viewed favorably.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products is viewed favorably.

Skills and abilities:

  • Experience with automated financial systems, including a general ledger, will be viewed as advantage
  • Strong analytical and organization skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to work with deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Problem solving and decision making:

  • Flexibility throughout all aspects of the individual’s daily work, specifically during disaster recovery periods.
  • Ability to analyze problems and determine and/or recommend resolutions.
  • Ability to solve problems of moderate scope and complexity, refer to policies and practices for guidance.
  • Work under very general supervision; work is review for accuracy.
