Increasingly, people are choosing to support and buy from businesses that take proactive steps to promote and achieve diversity and inclusivity. Furthermore, many of us go a bit further and want to be sure that the companies we work for are open-minded and tolerant as well.
This Pride Month, we have prepared the ranking of the top 10 LGBTIQ+ Friendly Companies in Europe. We have done the hard work for you and carefully reviewed their DEI policies, paying special care to the LGBTIQ+ Community.
We're proud to collaborate with all these companies. If you’re looking for an inclusive workplace, visit our job board.
The selection process
How did we decide who makes the cut? Well, we aren’t a big enough authority to award such important titles on our own, so we have turned for help to someone who is.
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation releases its HRC Corporate Equality Index every year. It assesses global businesses in 4 primary categories:
-
Workforce Protections
-
Inclusive Benefits
-
Supporting and Inclusive Culture
-
Corporate Social Responsibility
The HRC Corporate Equality Index is the primary benchmark used globally to evaluate the level of inclusivity of major businesses. In this ranking, we only included companies we collaborate with that have scored 100 out of 100 and have therefore been awarded the title of Top Workplace for LGBTQ+ Employees.

-
Accenture
Accenture is a global business consultancy company with branches in multiple countries. Inclusivity and diversity are at the forefront of its policies, and they have a broad range of solutions in this area.
The company runs employee resource groups in 45 countries and provides a global Ally programme with more than 120,000 members - and it keeps on growing. Accenture also offers equal benefits to same-sex couples wherever the local law permits it, and offers transgender health benefits in 17 countries, actively working on expanding the network.
Lastly, Accenture is part of The Partnership for Global LGBTIQ+ Equality - a coalition of organisations committed to driving positive change and promoting LGBTIQ+ inclusion globally through individual and collective advocacy.

Google (Alphabet Inc.)
Alphabet Inc. is Google’s parent company, encompassing several other well-known Silicon Valley brands, but we will mainly focus on Google.
Google’s rainbow-coloured logo obliges. And the company surely stands up to the challenge.
And there is a lot to focus on! Firstly, Google established its first employee resource group, Gayglers, back in 2003. The ERG has since rebranded to Pride at Google in 2021, developing a new logo, but the goals have remained unchanged.
Google also has an extensive Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policy and fulfils its affirmative action obligations.
However, there was some criticism along the way. Google was dropped from the HRD Corporate Equality Index in 2019 due to a controversy regarding the company’s refusal to remove a certain “conversion therapy” app.
It is also under close scrutiny today for reportedly scaling back on its diversity policies and plans, justifying its actions with the stance of the US government on inclusivity and equity. But it did make it onto the Index in 2025, so we are bound to see what happens next year.

-
Apple
It has been a while since Apple’s rainbow logo. However, long after rebranding, one of the most famous brands in the world continues to develop in the area of LGBTIQ+ support.
Perhaps the most commonly known initiative by Apple expressing their support for LGBTIQ+ Communities is their annual launch of a limited-edition Pride collection. Every year, the brand prepares special products, with the profits going to LGBTIQ+ Communities.
But unlike many companies, Apple doesn’t stop at releasing a dedicated product once a year, only to do nothing for the remaining 364 days. It features Diversity Network Associations (DNAs), which are volunteer-led groups open to all employees aiming to celebrate diversity across Apple.
What’s more, Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, has been announced “the nation’s most visible gay executive” by Politico. He has always loudly advocated for LGBTIQ+ rights and has strongly opposed the changes in American legislation targeting young trans and gay people in several states. Not only did he publicly criticise the lawmakers, but he has also deployed Apple’s lobbyists and legal officers to file lawsuits and oppose some of the bills.
Finally, Apple also collaborates with a range of organisations such as The Human Rights Campaign Foundation or Encircle to provide resources and advance the rights of the LGBTIQ+ Communities.

-
BP
BP may not be a leader in the area of sustainability and eco-friendly practices, but its DEI policies deserve recognition.
BP Pride, the company’s employee community, is working on two key programmes in the area of LGBTIQ+ support. Safe Space aims to create a safe working environment for all employees, regardless of their background. Allies encourages being yourself at work, without discrimination, shame or barriers.
In pursuing their goals, BP Pride have partnered with a range of external partners such as Stonewall Global Champion, INvolve, OUTstanding, Pinkdot, Out and Equal Workplace Advocates, or the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
Their efforts were recognised several years in a row, when BP became one of the 14 organisations placed on the Top Global Employers List by Stonewall - the largest LGBTIQ+ organisation in Europe and the UK.
But what we really want to highlight here is that BP doesn’t let international barriers stop them. They fight to create an inclusive working environment even in countries where the local legislation opposes the initiative.
An example is Hungary, where, despite the conservative government, all of BP’s new employees must complete diversity and inclusion training and a roundtable discussion on the topic. The Safe Space training is also adapted to the regional and cultural context, bridging the gap between conservative views and inclusivity in the workplace.

-
Allianz
Allianz Life Insurance has its own employee community, Allianz Pride. It connects 28 local networks and covers over 80% of the workforce. It operates in 3 key areas:
-
Providing a platform for all employees,
-
Raising awareness for LGBTIQ+ related topics,
-
Promoting mutual respect.
What’s more, Allianz Group has pledged support for the UN “Free & Equal” LGBTIQ+ Standards of Conduct. You can have a broader insight into its DEI Policy in the official document prepared by Allianz.

-
Cognizant
Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. recognises that “creating a culture of belonging requires more than just lofty words and public commitments” [source]. The company strives to achieve it through powerful, everyday actions, such as all the initiatives taken by the LGBTIQ+ employee resource group called Embrace.
They organise events, spread awareness, and educate, facilitating networking and creating a safe space for sharing ideas and providing support.
One such event is the month-long initiative in June, where Cognizant associates can learn how to become an ally and discover actionable ways to be more involved in the LGBTIQ+ cause. Members of the Embrace community share their experiences and knowledge through engaging videos, inspiring blog posts, and uniting virtual events.

-
Eaton
Eaton Corp has a variety of iERGs - Inclusion Eaton Resource Groups. One of them is Eaton Pride, whose mission is to provide a safe space for members of the LGBTIQ+ Community and their allies and foster collaboration. Its EMEA chapter is fully integrated with the DEI policy set by the company-wide Global and Regional Inclusion Councils, which ensure consistency in the actions undertaken by international units.
Eaton Pride facilitates connection, provides education, spreads awareness, and fosters engagement. It hosts various activities, such as discussion days or sensitivity training sessions.
In 2024, Newsweek named Eaton one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity. In 2023, the company earned the title of World’s Most Ethical Companies for the 12th time - awarded by Ethisphere.

-
Randstad
Making a change in their own company isn’t enough for Randstad. They strive to impact others as well, which is why they release their Workmonitor Pulse Survey. It provides insights into the state of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the job market. Their independently gathered data often exposes severe discrepancies between what could have been and what is actually happening, monitors progress, and highlights areas for improvement.
Their Randstad for All initiative aims to create a fair labour market accessible to everyone, regardless of their background. They emphasise that skill and experience are what should determine the ideal employee - not aspects such as race, disability, religion, orientation or origin.
The company also offers a wide range of diversity and inclusion programmes. They are different in every country, adjusted to the local needs and realities.

Netflix*
Netflix is very vocal about its efforts to increase representation on screen. The growth in TV shows featuring or representing minorities, including the LGBTIQ+ Community, has been noted by viewers, with discussions on the topic rising on forums such as Quora or Reddit.
On that note, it is important to note the controversy regarding Netflix’s refusal to remove “The Closer” - a comedy special by Dave Chappelle, who has a history of making inappropriate jokes about members of the LGBTIQ+ Community.
This saw Netflix drop from the HRC Corporate Equality Index in 2022, but since it’s back in 2025, we decided to feature it in our ranking.
When it comes to what solutions Netflix offers to its employees, the Employee Giving Program can serve as a good example. According to the policy, the company undertakes to match the amount donated by its employees to one of the 2 million eligible organisations in 200 countries.
There is also the Volunteer Match Program, which encourages employees to volunteer their time for a cause they support. For each hour an employee spends volunteering, Netflix will donate $50 to the same cause.
Of course, there are limits for every employee of how much money can be donated within the Employee Giving and Volunteer Match programs, but the incentive allows the employees of Netflix to contribute to a cause they believe in with the support of their employer.

-
Airbnb*
There are two employee resource groups for members and allies of the LGBTIQ+ Community functioning within Airbnb: Trans@ and AirPride. The two groups collaborated in order to create and share a Guide for LGBTIQ+ Ally. The document contains actionable advice for all Airbnb employees on how to actively support the LGBTIQ+ Community through everyday actions.
Airbnb is also committed to partnering with companies owned by minorities through their Supplier Diversity program. They also established a strict non-discrimination policy for everyone using their service - hosts and guests alike. According to Airbnb’s own data, more than 2.5 million people have been denied access to or removed from the platform for refusing to accept the Community Commitment.
Hosts can also rely on inclusion resources created by Airbnb. And so, since 2017, the number of hosts using inclusive language in their listings has grown by 90%. You can read more about the company’s actions and achievements in promoting inclusivity in their six-year update on fighting discrimination in 2022.
In 2021, Airbnb released an article about top destinations to celebrate Pride. You can read about the best stays and experiences, and book them directly through the platform.

* At Europe Language Jobs, we don’t list jobs directly from Netflix and Airbnb, but you can find vacancies at these two companies advertised by recruitment agencies and BPOs they work with: Foundever Portugal, Telus Digital Bulgaria, Job Squad, Speakit, Teleperformance Greece, and City Job Offers.
These are the top 10 LGBTIQ+ Friendly Companies in Europe. Each of them has slightly different policies promoting equality and diversity - and not only in the workplace.
You can find jobs from all these companies on our job board, so if inclusive policies are an important aspect for you, make sure to apply now!
