ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT
The Accounting Assistant makes things work efficiently, clearly, and consistently. WHAT YOU'LL DO
We're looking for an accounting assistant to become familiar with our accounting and financial reporting processes so that they can assist in:
Accounts payable input
Expense report auditing and processing
New vendor verification
External email communication with clients & vendors
Processing employee expenses
Journal entries
Bank reconciliations and other general ledger month end closure activities
Analyzing information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information
Assist in tracking, recording and auditing sales tax
REQUIREMENTS
Here's your background and what you've done before joining The Outloud Group team:
2+ years of accounting experience, including working with U.S.-based companies and handling transactions in U.S. dollars
Associate's degree or equivalent experience
Proficient in QuickBooks (2+ years), ideally with QuickBooks Online certification
Strong understanding of U.S. accounting principles, GAAP, and tax regulations
Experience processing payments, reconciling accounts, and managing financial records in a U.S. business environment
Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Strong integrity, professionalism, and work ethic
Experience communicating with external clients in writing
Proficient in MS Excel, including data analysis and reporting
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team
