German-Speaking Ad Sales Account Executive
Location: Barcelona, Spain (on-site)
Salary: €25,330 gross/year + up to €4,470 gross/year bonus
Contract: Full-time (39 hours/week, Monday–Friday)
About the Role
We’re hiring German-speaking Ad Sales Account Executives to grow our digital advertising business in the German market. This role combines business development, full-cycle sales, and early account management.
You’ll identify and win new advertising clients, run consultative sales conversations, close deals, and support customers during their first months to ensure strong performance and long-term retention.
What You’ll Do
Business Development & Prospecting
Build, enrich, and prioritize outbound target lists
Run targeted outbound campaigns via calls, email, and social channels
Research the German market to identify new leads and growth opportunities
Conduct discovery calls to assess client needs, fit, and advertising goals
Sales & Deal Closing
Understand client objectives, audiences, budgets, and ROI expectations
Deliver tailored sales pitches and advertising proposals
Lead sales conversations with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
Own the full sales cycle from qualified lead to closed deal
Negotiate terms and consistently meet or exceed revenue targets
Early Account Management
Act as the main client contact during the first 90 days post-close
Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimizations
Coordinate with internal teams (ad operations, creative, analytics)
Identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities
German Market Expertise
Strong understanding of the German market and business culture
Ability to build trust with German clients, agencies, and skeptical stakeholders
Awareness of data privacy and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR)
Skilled in tailoring outreach to clients with a high focus on data protection
Analytical and strategic mindset to identify growth opportunities
Nice to Have
Experience with Pinterest advertising
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
High emotional intelligence and collaborative working style

REQUIREMENTS
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
2+ years of experience in sales (business development and/or account management)
Proven track record of hitting sales targets and KPIs
Strong knowledge of digital advertising, performance marketing, e-commerce, and social media
Comfortable discussing ROI, platform integrations, and performance metrics
Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot
Highly organized and able to manage a high-volume pipeline
C1 German and advanced English
