About the CompanyOur client is a leading global corporate travel management company, providing travel solutions and services to corporate clients worldwide.
The company is currently expanding its Meetings & Events division and is structuring a new Eurocenter in Barcelona, which will centralize Group Travel services across France, Spain, Switzerland and Germany.
As part of this evolution, they are strengthening their M&E Groups setup for the German market and are looking for an experienced Team Manager to lead and coordinate the Groups function across the Eurocenter, working closely with the existing Barcelona-based team.
The Role
As Team Manager - Group Travel, you will take responsibility for the overall coordination, alignment and performance of the Groups team across four European markets.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining team management, operational oversight and client management. You will work closely with an already established team in Barcelona while ensuring cross-market consistency, efficient workflows and strong operational performance across the Eurocenter.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Group Travel team across Germany, France, Spain and Switzerland
- Manage workflows, resources and project allocation to ensure efficient operations across markets
- Oversee Group Travel projects and act as an escalation point for complex cases
- Participate in client kick-off calls and ensure clear understanding of client requirements
- Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships and ensure high service quality
- Coach, support and develop team members, including onboarding and training
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity and ways of working across the Eurocenter
- Work closely with international M&E stakeholders and the existing Barcelona team
Your Profile
- Several years of experience in Group Travel / M&E
- Strong Amadeus GDS experience
- Solid knowledge of Group Travel operations and the travel industry
- Previous experience in team management, workflow coordination operational management
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Confident client-facing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Fluent English
- French is strongly preferred
- Spanish and Cvent experience are a plus
- Already based in Barcelona
