DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Proposal Engineer to join a global technology leader in Lisbon, Portugal!
This position focuses on translating customer requirements into high-quality building automation solutions and ensuring seamless coordination from proposal through project handover. It offers a dynamic role within a fast-paced, multinational environment and the opportunity to grow within a globally recognized industrial powerhouse.

What will you do?
- Translate customer requirements into technical automation solutions using high-quality systems.
- Design and quote for fire alarm and evacuation system installations, upgrades, and expansions in complex facilities like hospitals, hotels, and industrial sites.
- Analyze technical feasibility of security solutions and collaborate with sales and execution teams to complete proposals.
- Seek innovative alternatives in non-standard cases in consultation with product managers.
- Collaborate with account managers and financial admins to create comprehensive proposals.
- Ensure accurate handover of approved projects to Project Managers and Software Engineers.

REQUIREMENTS
- MBO diploma minimum, with HBO working/thinking level in electrical or electronic engineering preferred.
- Experience in building automation installations; certifications like BMI, OAI, or VOL VCA are a plus.
- Proficient in English, Dutch would be a plus; capable with MS Word, Excel, Visio, and basic network/software tools.
- Strong ownership, analytical and conceptual thinking, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure with a collaborative mindset.
