Drive Quality in Computer Vision & Multimedia AI — Remote (India)
Are you an experienced QA leader with a sharp eye for visual detail? Welo Data is looking for a Lead Generative AI Analyst to spearhead our multimedia labeling and review operations.
In this role, you will lead the day-to-day execution of complex multimodal work streams—including video, images, and rich metadata. Serving as the critical link between annotators, quality stakeholders, and internal project teams, your leadership will directly impact throughput, quality performance, and guideline consistency for the next generation of visual AI.

The Mission: Operational Excellence in Visual AI
- Team Leadership: Lead a dedicated team of multimodal annotators and reviewers, ensuring high-quality outputs are delivered on schedule.
- Workflow Orchestration: Act as the primary day-to-day point of contact for workflow questions, triaging issues, and escalating unclear visual edge cases with concrete examples.
- Metric Ownership: Track team performance and quality metrics (throughput, error rates, rework, backlog) and implement strategic corrective actions.
- Calibration & Consistency: Own the quality loop; reduce reviewer-to-reviewer variance through structured audits, refreshers, and second-pass reviews.
- Guideline Architecture: Create, maintain, and refine project specifications, documenting complex edge cases as workflows rapidly evolve.
- Talent Development: Support the onboarding, assessment, and continuous coaching of new multimodal annotators.
What We’re Looking For
- Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in multimedia annotation, multimodal data labeling, computer vision QA, or a closely related field.
- Leadership Track Record: 2+ years of experience leading teams, managing workflows, or operating as a Lead Reviewer in a fast-paced production environment.
- Linguistic & Communication Mastery: Strong written and verbal communication in English, with a proven ability to write clear, actionable guidelines and feedback.
- Edge-Case Navigation: Deep experience working from structured guidelines and applying consistent decision-making to complex visual or multimedia ambiguities.
- Visual Endurance: Comfortable reviewing and analyzing multimedia content for extended periods while maintaining rigorous attention to detail.
