DESCRIPTION

Join a distinguished Travel Agency in Ireland that is actively seeking a full-time permanent Assistant Retail Manager. This role is based in a dynamic Travel Shop in Dublin, representing a leading Travel Company in Ireland. 

 

In collaboration with the Retail Manager, you will lead a team of experienced and motivated individuals, ensuring that their customers remain the top priority. The ideal candidate will be commercially driven, results-oriented, and equipped to guide a dynamic team. If travel is your passion and you are enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge with both your team and customers, this role presents an exciting opportunity. In a supportive role alongside the Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store while fostering loyal customer relationships through exceptional service.

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 working days.
  • Bring a background of at least 3 years in a travel retail or wholesale environment.
  • Offer assistance and support to the Store Manager through an inspiring, motivational, and approachable leadership approach.
  • View situations from the customer's perspective and introduce positive changes for enhancement.
  • Demonstrate a track record of successful sales and the ability to enhance profitability with strong commercial acumen.
  • Possess knowledge of GDS.
  • Spot opportunities for the expansion of the business.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, uniting colleagues to work seamlessly together.
  • Excel in a sales target environment, demonstrating strong motivation.
  • Assume responsibility for the store in the manager's absence, anticipate potential performance-affecting issues, and offer support to the manager while encouraging teamwork.
  • Embrace a can-do attitude, delivering a confident and enjoyable approach.
  • Manage the shop during the manager's absence, handling challenging customers, assisting with daily banking, expertly managing VIP clients, addressing group queries, and showcasing a solid understanding of accounts.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
