For one of our clients – one of the biggest names in the online entertainment industry. We
are searching for skilled, experienced and customer-oriented individuals for the role of
IT Support Representative.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As an IT support specialist, John diligently provided first- and second-level technical support
for hardware, software, and networking issues. He always responded to incidents promptly,
ensuring adherence to SLA requirements. With a keen eye for detail, John monitored and
managed network infrastructure, resolving performance issues efficiently. He was adept at
setting up, configuring, and maintaining IT equipment, always ready to repair or replace
defective components. John's expertise extended to installing, updating, and configuring
software applications while ensuring proper licensing. Handling network tasks, including
connectivity and IP configuration, was second nature to him. He communicated effectively
with ISPs for internet issues and managed Active Directory objects with precision.
Maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers and virtualization platforms, was a crucial part
of his role. John skilfully administered Windows and Linux systems, maintaining optimal
system performance through regular updates and patches. He stayed updated with industry
trends and pursued relevant training and certifications to enhance his skills. Documenting
solutions, maintaining a knowledge base, and sharing best practices were integral to his
approach, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Requirements
To be qualified for this role, you will need over three years of IT support experience with a
focus on networking, Windows systems, and Linux administration. Excellent communication
skills are essential, along with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
A customer-centric approach with professional interaction skills and a collaborative team
attitude is crucial. You should have a strong understanding of network concepts and
extensive experience in monitoring and troubleshooting. Proficiency in Windows Server
environments and PowerShell scripting, as well as hands-on experience with Linux systems
and shell scripting, are necessary. Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as
VMware and Hyper-V is also required. Additionally, you must be available to work shifts,
including nights, weekends, and holidays. The ability to document processes clearly, with
experience in helpdesk systems, is a valuable asset.
