DESCRIPTION
Location: Athens, Greece
Role: French AML Officer
Salary: EUR 1,050 p/m (paid 14x p/a) plus meal vouchers plus up to 12% performance bonus potential
Working Hrs: 40 hrs per week between Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00
Relocation package: flight to Athens and 4 weeks accomodation on arrival, plus support finding a place to live
We are looking for a French-speaking AML Officer to join our team in Athens and support the Anti–Money Laundering operations of a leading European financial services company. In this back office role, you will analyze alerts, conduct due diligence checks, and ensure compliance with AML/CFT regulations and internal procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong analytical skills, an interest in financial compliance, and the motivation to grow in the AML domain.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze AML alerts according to priority and within defined timeframes.
- Follow regulatory requirements and client-specific procedures.
- Conduct due diligence and gather supporting documentation for each case.
- Perform enhanced AML/CFT and financial risk reviews.
- Make well-supported decisions based on pre-defined analysis scenarios.
- Review client account statements and identify unusual or suspicious activities.
- Carry out homonym analysis and clarify alert-related information.
- Prepare clear, well-structured written analyses.
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Fluent French and good command of English
- Previous experience in a Fintech company mandatory
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Understanding of KYC and AML/CFT principlesm
- High attention to detail & reliable work ethic
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, repetitive-task environment
- Good PC skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
